New Years in New York - December 2001
Soon after Christmas, Laura invited me to spend New Years with her and her brother in Brooklyn. Any excuse to go to New York is a good one... and it was a fun time indeed! Click on the pictures below to see shots of that visit.....
Scotty and David walking down 1st Street, Brooklyn. God DAMN it's cold in
that part of the world!
Here's Rita, Laura, David and Scotty... in the (in)famous New York Subway.
Another Subway shot... note the cold-weather gear... a necessity,
not just a nicety.
Twister! Haven't had that much fun in a long time! AnneMarie, Laura,
David (the Twister King), and Rita.
Thank god for Scotty's undies... or we'd be saying No to Crack(TM).
*chuckles*
During a heavy game of "The Worst Possible Scenario" - Rita and
AnneMarie erect an Anti-Jeopardy-Song-Forcefield to foil our attempts at
distraction. Guess you just had to be there.
Can anyone guess what David is doing here? Neither can he.
The loveable Moose and his lovely sidekicks.
Karen concentrates mightily, using the ancient Plastic Moose Brain Feed trick.
Rita acts out all the questions during one of our board game sessions.
Boogy to 80s music baby! You know you want to!
Rita, Annemarie and Karen during their wipeout stage, after a long night of
drinking and boardgaming... wheee!
The stage for Rent at the Nederlander Theater. Damn fantastic show!
The Merrill Lynch Bull in downtown Manhattan. Stupid thing hasn't been
doing much lately obviously.
Say cheese! Me and Laura on Wall Street!
A memorial to the events of September 11th... pictures and flowers and
letters for the firemen, policemen, and others who lost their lives at the World
Trade Center location.
Something was going down near the WTC site.
Dawn, the fabulous hostess at the Dawn and Dan(TM) New Years Partay!
Had so much fun it reminded me how much I'd love to live in New York for a while.... maybe someday... (thanks again to Scotty and David for putting me up, and to their wonderful and charming friends for all the fun). Please stop by my guestbook or email me if you have a moment!
